    This event is co-sponsored by Dance Marathon.

    Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropic event on Iowa States campus. It serves Children’s Miracle Network as well as the Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City. Last year Dance Marathon raised over $170,000 and this year the event takes place on January 23rd. Every year hundreds of students gather in the Great Hall of the ISU Memorial Union for a fun 15-hour day on their feet. Dance Marathon represents a life changing experience, complete with the opportunity to meet children and families who have directly benefited from University of Iowa Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network.

    Come see what your child's college is all about! On September 26th, many colleges will be hosting receptions which will allow the families to tour the buildings and ask questions they may have about their student's education. These will also show everyone what the colleges have been working so hard to accomplish so far this year.

      • The College of Design will host a reception for Cyclone Family Weekend from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th . The program will include a welcome by the new dean, Luis Rico-Gutierrez, various departmental chairs, professors and advisors. Tours of the building will be provided and an informal social hour to ask questions and get acquainted will follow.
