The Doug Sandvig FamilyDoug, Karen, Michael, Kristen, and Brian The Sandvigs, from Fort Dodge, Iowa, started their Iowa State adventure 25 years ago. Doug is an '87 accounting graduate and Karen also graduated in '87 with an elementary education degree. All three of their children are in attendance at ISU together this fall. Michael is a senior majoring in marketing and management. Kristen is in her third year majoring in genetics with a Spanish minor. Brian is a freshman majoring in business and is a member of the Iowa State track team.
The Bill Brown Jr. FamilyBill, Diane, Dawnielle, Christopher, Shamus, and Cassandra Iowa State has been an integral part of the Brown family. Each of them has taken a different route in there lives, yet Iowa State has been the common link. Bill, a 1979 Agricultural Engineering graduate, and his wife Diane, a lifelong ISU supporter, have been bringing their children onto campus and to Cyclone events for nearly 20 years. It was no surprise when their three children chose Iowa State to continue their education. Dawnielle, a 2003 graduate in Advertising, Shamus a 2008 Animal Science graduate and current MBA and Vet Med student, and Christopher currently an Agricultural Engineering student. Shamus’s wife Cassandra is also a 2009 Agricultural Education graduate. All were active throughout the University and their College’s, particularly in VEISHEA and the Greek Community. The Brown’s feel that Iowa State is an excellent place to grow and learn regardless of interests or background. |
